Come and enjoy Jaime Buenaventura to Bellavista Afterworks!

Jaime Buenaventura (Madrid, September 8th, 1991) is a rock and pop Spanish musician.

He was born in Madrid and bred in the township of Majadahonda. His passion for music started during the Majadahonda’s patronal festivities and celebrations in 2007, thanks to the rock concert that the band Pereza offered and that he assisted with some of his friends. This life show captivated him and since then he has not stopped his different attempts to go up to big stages and give continuity to the rock guitar sound that is going away in our country because of the new music tends like boybands or reggeaton.

A year later, in 2008, Buenaventura formed his first band: Gritos of Mimo, where he shared experiences during more than 7 years with Varo Brandariz and Leonard Piscoya, guitar and battery respectively. Together they recorded two studio disks all written by Buenaventura. He also was the singer and the bassist. However, after years of attracting the young public of his own city based on pop melodies and autobiographical lyrics, the band decided to separate. That same year he composed “Resilience”, an album that he produced and recorded in his own room.

At the beginning of 2016, he joined the studio with his ex-band mate Varo Brandariz as a sound engineer and album producer. The recording of “Resilicencias” lasted more than 3 months of weekly sessions at the studio, located in different spots in Madrid such as “Ritmo y Compas” or in a house in the village of Corunya de Villarrube. It is in this village where all the guitars’ sounds were recorded with Javi Giralte and Juanma Marín. The rest of the band that participated in the recording were David “Deivhook” Serrano, drums; Fabio Yanes, bass; Pau Àlvarez, hammond and piano, and Varo Brandariz, the choirs. The process of mixing and mastering is carried out by the experienced Javier Ustara at the Mpire Studios in Carabanchel. In September of 2016, it is announced in public his project where he presents the main song “Cansado de Escribirte”. The song evokes the guitar sounds of groups of the eighties as The Cure and the song lyrics are about the lack of attention of love.  On November 4th of 2016 was the release date of “Resilience.” For his live presentation, the artist offered a rock show defending his proposal along with the band composed by Dani Napolitano on drums, José Young on bass, Javi Giralte on guitar and Juanma Marín on the keyboards.
